Exhibitions dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the RA local authorities

    The elections of the local authorities of the RA were held 15 years, ago when the Independent Republic of Armenia was just 5 years old.
    Today the Independent Republic of Armenia is 20years old, and one of the significant achievements is the establishment of the self-government system in 915 large and small communities. The power of attorney enshrined in the constitution and regulated by the law of the local government.
    This year, first time was celebrated the 15th anniversary of the formation of the LSG on the state level and solemnly. The regional branches of the NAA were not left apart from the festive events.
On November 9-12, opening ceremonies were held in regional branches of Tavush, Shirak, Lori, Vayots Dzor, Lori, Ararat, Syunik, Kotayk.
    The organizers of these unprecedented exhibitions were the deputy prime minister, minister of territorial administration A. Gevorgyan and the NAA.
    Numerous documents, photos, documentary videos, which were presented in the exhibition, elucidated chronology and the  history of the stat regional centers (Ijevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Artashat, Eghegnadzor, Kapan, Hrazdan) during last 15 years.
    The opening ceremonies were attended by the director of the NAA A.Virabyan, vice director S. Mirzoyan, E. Hovhannisyan, heads of departments S. Amalyan, S. Marukyan, chief workers of regional governors, municipalities, intellectuals, community residents and other guests.
    The exhibitions were widely covered by the mass media, as well by the local televisions («Ijevan», «Shant», «Tsayg», «Lori», «Mig», «Ararat», «Khustup»).
    The exhibitions will be open within 15 days.
